Your Travel Experience with ARRIVAL
Day 1
ARRIVAL
Touch down in Cusco, where you’ll be met at the airport and escorted to your hotel. The day is yours to adjust to the altitude – either settle into your room or head into the historic heart of the city. Grab a seat in a cafe, wander past the cathedral and let the city’s rhythm set the tone for what’s to come.
Day 1 - 2
Cusco Base Hotel
Your base for your first night in Cusco is only a five-minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring and supplied with oxygen in the lobby to help you acclimatise.
Day 2
Via Ferrata
Scale the cliff face in the Sacred Valley of Cuzco with a 400m vertical ladder climb to a night in a hotel that you won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
Day 2 - 3
Sky Lodge Capsule – Sacred Valley
A highlight in its own right. Spend the night hanging from a cliff face in a completely transparent bedroom. The Sky Lodge is only accessible by via-ferrata and ziplines.
Day 3 - 6
Inca Trail Camping
Nights on the Inca Trail will be spent in four-season tents, with thick mattresses and sleeping bags available to rent. Your porter crew will carry and set up your tents and a dining dome to eat your meals.
Day 3
Zipline
No elevators here. Your descent into the Sacred Valley kicks off with a zipline ride that’s all altitude and adrenaline. Soar through Andean air, past cliffs and condors, straight into the start of your Inca Trail adventure. It’s not just a way down – it’s the wildest check-out you’ll ever experience.
Day 3 - 6
Classic Inca Trail
Four days, stone steps, soul-stirring sights. Follow ancient Incan footpaths through mountain passes, cloud forests and lost ruins, sleeping under the stars with your crew and porters. This is the pilgrimage to Machu Picchu done right – sweat, stories and the rhythm of real connection.
Day 6 - 8
Cusco Base Hotel
Your base in Cusco is only a five-minute walk to Plaza de Armas, perfect for exploring.
Day 6
Machu Picchu Visit
You wake in the dark and climb toward light. From the Sun Gate, Machu Picchu emerges – mist rising, stone glowing. Your guide decodes the genius of its design, its spiritual power. This isn’t a bucket list tick – it’s a brush with something timeless, sacred and deeply human.
Day 7
Rainbow Mountain Day Trek
At 5,020 metres, the colours don’t feel real – reds, golds, teals swirling in stripes like Earth showing off. The hike is tough, the air is thin and the payoff is pure magic. You’ll earn every view and come back with lungs full of sky and something wild etched in your bones.
Day 8 - 11
Hacienda Herrera – Amazon
This rural Amazon eco-lodge sits on the bank of the Made de Dios river, surrounded by rainforest. With netted beds, outdoor showers and a catalogue of eco-activities, you will leave feeling more connected to nature than ever before.
Day 9
Lake Sandoval Canoe Trip
Glide into the Amazon’s quieter side on a dawn canoe through Lake Sandoval. The jungle wakes around you: otters slice through the water, birds call, trees whisper. It’s slow, surreal and sensory – all motion and stillness at once. Nature doesn’t get more cinematic than this.
Day 10
Canopy Tower Walk
Forty metres up, the rainforest flips. Walk swaying bridges and perch above the canopy, where macaws streak past and the horizon hums with life. It’s a climb into another world – epic, eerie, unforgettable. Few ever see the Amazon from here. You will.
Piranha Fishing at Yacumama
With the Santa Teresa community as your guides, cast a line into the wild waters of Yacumama Lagoon. This is a deep-dive into Amazon knowledge, from ancient fishing tricks to modern conservation. Hook a piranha, gain some wisdom, leave lighter.
Day 11
Departure
Your boots are muddy, your heart full. After breakfast, boat back to Puerto Maldonado and catch your flight. The Andes and Amazon are behind you – but they’ll echo in your bones for a long while.
