Day 1
ARRIVAL
Touchdown in Kyrgyzstan’s capital. Expect leafy boulevards, crumbling Soviet charm and streets that invite languid strolls. After airport pickup and hotel check-in, we dive into Bishkek’s bones – Osh Bazaar bustle, Lenin’s statue still standing and leafy parks soaked in golden light. Night falls with a hearty welcome dinner and clinking glasses.

Day 1
Osh Bazaar
One of the oldest and most colourful markets in the city. Here you can experience local life, taste fresh produce, and browse traditional goods and souvenirs.
Ala Archa National Park Walk
Swap city streets for alpine air. A short trail that feels far from civilisation – wild rivers, fir forests and glacier peaks just outside Bishkek.
Day 2 - 3
Jekshen Guest House, Chong Kemin
Nestled in a quiet valley, this cosy family-run spot serves hearty homemade meals with genuine Kyrgyz hospitality. Rustic and charming.
Day 2
Burana Tower Visit
Climb an 11th-century minaret on the Silk Road and look out over the same steppe Mongol caravans once crossed.
Day 3
Cholpon Ata Open-Air Petroglyphs
Walk through an open-sky gallery of Bronze Age rock art – hunters, ibex and sun gods etched into stone.
Day 3 - 5
Green Yard Hotel, Karakol
A traveller favourite in Karakol. Clean, modern rooms, warm hosts and close to town highlights. Great place to regroup before/after alpine exploration.
Day 4
Altyn Arashan Off-Road & Hot Springs
Buckle in for a bone-rattling 4WD climb to hidden hot springs ringed by snow peaks. Rough road, perfect reward.
Day 5
Jeti Oguz Gorge Hike & Barskoon Waterfalls
Hike beneath the red “Seven Bulls” cliffs, through pine forest and mountain mist to the spray of Barskoon’s falls.
Day 5 - 7
Beltam Yurt Camp, Bokonbaevo
Lake Issyk-Kul on one side, mountains on the other. Traditional yurts with proper beds and roaring fires. Expect incredible sunsets and star-filled skies.

Skazka & Mars Canyons Exploration
Stroll through sandstone canyon where wind and time have carved the earth into something otherworldly
Eagle Hunting Demonstration
Meet a berkutchi and his golden eagle – a centuries-old bond between hunter and sky still alive today
Yurt-Making Demo, Kyzyl-Tuu
Help locals raise a yurt from raw timber and felt – the architecture of nomad life built by hand.
Day 7
Felt Carpet Workshop, Kochkor
Learn the rhythm of Kyrgyz women’s craft as you press wool and colour into story-rich felt carpets.
Day 7 - 8
Kyzart Hotel
A simple stopover in a traditional village, Kyzart Hotel offers warm meals and local flavour. Basic amenities, rich culture.
Day 8 - 9
Horse Trek to Son-Kul
Ride into the high-altitude jailoo, where nomads graze their herds and stars outnumber people.
Day 8 - 10
Muras Yurt Camp, Son-Kul
High up at 3000m, yurts cluster beside the lake. No frills, no WiFi – just sheep bells, starry nights and crackling hearths.
Day 9
Nomadic Cultural Visits at Son-Kul
Share tea, bread and laughter with shepherd families – stories traded as freely as the mountain wind.
Day 10
Kazhyrty Waterfall Walk
A gentle forest trail leading to a tucked-away waterfall – quiet, green, unbothered.
Day 11
Drive to Ak-Sai Valley, Kel-Suu
A long, breathtaking drive into Kyrgyzstan’s remote frontier – mountains folding into silence.
Day 11 - 13
Golden Moon Yurt Camp, Kel-Suu
Way off-grid and wildly beautiful. Rugged comfort surrounded by dramatic peaks. Cold nights, hot tea and a rare sense of stillness.
Day 12
Horse Ride & Boat on Kel-Suu Lake
Reach the turquoise lake by horseback, then drift by boat through its narrow, canyon-walled heart.
Day 13 - 14
Altay Village Hotel, Eki Naryn
A warm and welcoming village hotel with traditional architecture and local food. A slow-paced final stop before heading back to Bishkek.
Day 14
Folk Music Show, Bishkek
Wrap up in rhythm – traditional strings, drums and dance bringing Kyrgyz stories to life in the capital.
