Tour from Negombo to Colombo, Sri Lanka

About this activity

A self-drive adventure rally for thrill seekers and mischief makers on three wheels

Your Travel Experience with ARRIVAL

Day 1

ARRIVAL

Touch down and shake off the jetlag. You’ll make your way to Goldi Sands, a beachfront spot that’s close enough to the airport but far enough to start feeling the shift. No schedule. Just the sound of waves, optional sundowners, and maybe a cheeky local dinner if you're up for it. Rest now—the rally awakens tomorrow.

Day 1 - 3

Goldi Sands

Beachfront and breezy – a jetlag-friendly landing pad just minutes from the airport.

Day 2 - 9

Tuk-Tuk Driving Challenge

Clock 600+km in your own tuk-tuk across jungle trails, misty hills and coastal switchbacks. Each day’s a new leg with spontaneous roadside detours, breakdowns, breakthroughs and belly laughs. You drive, we just point you in the general direction.

Day 3 - 5

Aliya Resort & Spa

Nestled in nature near ancient ruins, with an infinity pool that faces elephants (if you’re lucky).

Day 3 - 9

Cultural Challenge Series

From bartering in bustling markets to learning the local lingo, daily challenge cards push you into Sri Lanka’s cultural deep end. These aren’t side quests – they’re the moments that make you look up, lean in and properly engage.

Day 4

Sigiriya Rock Fortress (Optional)

Wake early and climb the iconic Lion Rock, where 1,200 steps lead to ancient ruins, epic views and serious leg burn. A UNESCO-listed side mission that rewards with sunrise glory and wild monkey encounters. Optional – but unforgettable.

Day 5 - 6

Earl’s Regent

Classy hill city base with easy temple access and hot showers to match the altitude.

Day 6

Tea Country Cruise

Drive into the clouds through Nuwara Eliya’s highland tea fields. Slow roads, cooler air and a landscape that smells like eucalyptus and fresh leaves. This isn’t a rush – it’s a reel-worthy ride through Sri Lanka’s scenic soul.

Day 6 - 7

Araliya Red

Cosy up in this central mountain lodge surrounded by tea plantations and colonial charm.

Day 7 - 8

Pinnacle Ella or Flower Garden

Boutique jungle stays with panoramic views, hammocks and a cheeky monkey or two.

Day 8 - 10

Bay Vista or Hideaway

Surf shack meets chill zone – where the beach is your backyard and the vibe never ends.

Day 9

Surf & Chill in Arugam Bay

After a week of tuk-tuk madness, Arugam Bay delivers beachy bliss. Optional surf sessions, lazy hammock hangs, cold drinks and salt-rinsed freedom. Whether you paddle out or pass out, the coast is pure magic.

Celebration Night

Wrap it all up with a beachside bash – sunset awards, bonfires and a few groovy moves that should probably stay off social media. It’s not just a party, it’s a full-send farewell to the rally of a lifetime.

Day 10

Departure from Arugam Bay

One last breakfast with sand between your toes. Then it’s a shared shuttle back to Colombo. You’ll leave with more dust than when you came, but way better stories.
