ARRIVAL
Arrive into Narita airport, and hop on the included express bus transfer into Shinjuku. You’ll receive the timetable for these bus times a month before departure so you’ll know exactly where to be at what time. Drop your bags, then it’s up to you to explore at your leisure. Shinjuku is like Tokyo condensed. Office towers beside ramen counters, jazz bars beneath department stores, parks tucked behind flashing billboards. If you’ve got the energy, wander Golden Gai: narrow laneways, six-seat bars, no velvet ropes. Just stools, low ceilings and a first proper Tokyo night.
