Fly into Rio de Janeiro Galeão International Airport. Your included airport transfer is waiting. A private vehicle with English-speaking assistance takes you to Hotel Americas Copacabana in the heart of Rio's beach district. The drive from the airport takes approximately 45 minutes. Check in, drop your bags and step outside. Copacabana Beach is moments from the hotel. The first evening is yours. Explore the promenade, drink a caipirinha, fresh coconut water and feel the energy of a Brazilian city settling into night. The ARRIVAL team can recommend where to find samba, good food and the version of Rio that doesn't appear in the guidebook. Dinner is on your own tonight.

Favela Yoga and Community Experience, Vidigal and the Bromélia Project
Vidigal, Rio de Janeiro Roundtrip transport to Praça do Vidigal. One-hour yoga session with local students in an open-air space overlooking the city. Community breakfast and guided walk through Vidigal with Bromélia Project volunteers.

Included breakfast at the hotel. Roundtrip transport takes the group to Praça do Vidigal where a Bromélia Project member meets you and shares an introduction to daily life in the favela. A fifteen-minute uphill walk, or an optional moto taxi at your own cost, brings you to an open-air rooftop space with views over the city and the sea. A one-hour yoga session open to all levels follows. Local students alongside you, the city below you and the kind of atmosphere that can't be manufactured. Then, a community breakfast after with stories from Vidigal residents. A guided walk back down through the neighbourhood's narrow laneways with stops at viewpoints and cultural landmarks. Back at the hotel by early afternoon with the rest of the day yours.

Costa Verde, en route to Paraty A stop at a living Quilombo community on the drive south. Traditional shared lunch and cultural exchange with descendants of enslaved Africans who have maintained this community for generations.
Walking Tour of Paraty Historic Centre
Paraty Guided evening walk through Paraty's UNESCO World Heritage listed colonial streets. Architecture, history and the particular atmosphere of a town that preserved itself beautifully.
Rio to Paraty via Quilombo do Campinho.
Breakfast at the hotel. The overland journey south along the Costa Verde begins. Mountains dropping into the emerald sea on one of Brazil's most visually extraordinary coastal drives. The route passes through Bocaina National Park before stopping at Quilombo do Campinho, a community founded by descendants of enslaved Africans in the hills above the Costa Verde. A traditional shared included lunch here. Stories about the community's history, culture and resilience from the people who live it. Arrive into Paraty in the late afternoon and check into Pousada do Príncipe in the historic centre. A guided walking tour through Paraty's cobbled streets, colonial churches and 18th-century architecture as the town transitions into evening. Dinner is on your own tonight. Included breakfast at the hotel. A boat departs from Paraty Mirim for the Saco do Mamanguá, a remote pristine bay surrounded by rainforest-covered mountains and the only tropical fjord environment in South America. Meet members of the traditional Caiçara fishing community before setting out on a guided kayak through the calm waterways. Lunch is prepared by the Caiçara community on the water, the kind of meal that tastes different because of where you're eating it. Return to Paraty in the late afternoon. The evening closes with live music and a farewell dinner in the historic centre, the right send-off for two days in one of Brazil's most extraordinary towns.

A functional, centrally located hotel in the gateway city to Iguazu Falls. Clean, comfortable and within easy reach of both the Brazilian and Argentinian park entrances. The hotel is the base, but the falls are the whole point of these three days. Breakfast included.

Breakfast at the hotel. A private vehicle and English-speaking guide collect you for the half-day tour of the Brazilian side of Iguazu Falls, the most panoramic and cinematic introduction to one of the world's most overwhelming natural wonders. The 1.2-kilometre walking trail runs alongside more than 275 individual cascades dropping up to 80 metres through dense tropical forest. The trail builds in scale and sound as it approaches Devil's Throat, the tallest and most powerful of the falls, where the spray creates a permanent mist and the noise is something you feel rather than just hear. National park entrance fee included. An optional Macuco Safari is available: a combination of electric vehicles through the forest, a short rainforest walk and then a motorised boat ride to the base of the falls. You will get completely soaked. Bring a dry bag and a change of clothes if you choose to do this.

Included breakfast at the hotel. A full day on the Argentinian side, the most immersive and physically engaging way to experience Iguazu. A private vehicle from the hotel, border crossing assistance included, and national park entrance fee included. The ecological train runs through the rainforest between circuits before the Upper and Lower Walkways deliver access to the falls from above, below and alongside. More than 270 waterfalls are visible across the circuit with raised platforms protecting the forest floor beneath. Devil's Throat from the Argentinian side is the closest you will get to the most powerful waterfall on earth. The experience is overwhelming in the best possible way. An optional Great Adventure boat tour is available at an additional cost. This is a 4WD drive through the national park followed by a boat ride directly beneath the falls.
